Sarah’s Bag is a Beirut-based handbag and accessories brand and one of the Middle East’s leading social enterprises. It had unorthodox beginnings as a rehabilitation project set up in 2000 by sociology graduate student Sarah Beydoun (now Creative Director) to train and employ female prisoners in Lebanon. Today, all of Sarah’s Bag accessories are designed around the skills of 200 prisoners and ex-prisoners in Lebanon and the products are sold in 50 retailers worldwide.
